Jodi Samson, LMT

Jodi has been in the massage field since 2006, when she completed her formal massage therapy education in Denver, CO. She has had the pleasure of practicing massage in Colorado, North Carolina, Hawai'i, and now Washington. Her personal experience and education in healing modalities range from yoga to meditation, Ayurveda to organic farming, craniosacral therapy to structural integration. She has experience walking many paths of healing herself and can empathize with the interesting process of finding one's center.

She strives to begin each session with fresh eyes and loving curiosity, listening to what this particular person might need in this particular moment. With a settled nervous system, her goal is to meet you where you are and accompany you toward where you're trying to go. Life is full of challenges, and we need each other. We're not meant to heal alone, though she believes deeply that healing happens within and is not a result of some outside force. That being said, Jodi seeks to empower her clients and share resources to support the healing that wants to take place.

Common tools used in the treatment room include long, deep strokes to allow the client to feel and move what's hiding inside the body, whether physical or emotional, spiritual or mental. This approach is her intuitive, creative spin on structural integration, similar to Rolfing. Another favorite is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. She believes from experience that this slow, deep path supports the peace and vibrancy alive within us all... that it supports us in becoming fully embodied, integrated, high-functioning human beings. You might try it for jaw tension and stick with it, then watch your life transform.

When not in the treatment room, you may find her hanging with her daughter, gardening, at a yoga class, hiking, or on the treatment table herself.
