A native of Germany and a year 2000 graduate of the Esalen Institute massage program (Big Sur, California), Andreas practiced massage therapy and energy work for 14 years in Bloomington, Indiana, before relocating to the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 2014.
In his work, Andreas draws from Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reiki, Matrix Energetics, Positional Release, as well as Swedish and Esalen-style massage techniques, weaving them together using intuition and clinical knowledge to create a session specifically for the client’s needs, all within a therapeutic container of compassion and connection. “I believe that the body will heal itself once we hold the space for its innate wisdom to unfold.”
Andreas practiced yoga since 1998 and taught Vinyasa style classes from 2009 to 2014. This has expanded his understanding of the body and the use of breath and therapeutic movement, which he integrates in his bodywork practice.
Andreas’ interests include sailing & kayaking, photography, spiritual development, homesteading skills, traveling on extended road trips to nature’s treasures, and most especially, spending time with his two children.
