Kristina fell in love with massage therapy when she was pregnant with her first child and was given some free treatments from a local Licensed Massage Therapist. The immense relief it brought to her changing body made her want to pursue it as a career. Years later in 2014, while living in British Columbia Canada, she graduated from the West Coast College of Massage and Hydrotherapy 21-month program and became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). The almost two-year training that Kristina received encompassed a rigorous curriculum that integrated theory and practice. She was also able as a student intern to do outreaches at many of the major Vancouver Hospitals and work with extremely complicated cases. After her program, she went on to work in Canada at a busy Physiotherapy clinic treating patients that were dealing with complex injuries as well as patients that were seeking relaxation treatments. Since moving back to Bellingham Kristina has also completed the qualifications required by Washington State to perform breast and chest massage. There can be a variety of instances where chest massage could help achieve the outcome a patient is seeking as there are muscles layered under our breast tissue. Kristina has a unique ability to combine therapeutic treatment with a relaxation approach and always listens to the primary concerns of the patient. When Kristina is not at work she enjoys practicing yoga, visiting the local beaches or nestling in at home writing or reading a good book.
